School Visits

Penhurst Church

The church is delighted to welcome visiting school parties of both primary and secondary age groups.

Educational Material

We are currently developing educational packs to tie in to the National Curriculum but are glad in the meanwhile to work with teachers to design linking material in advance and to provide guidance or assistance during the visit. Visits can also be combined with the adjacent Penshurst Place.

Please contact penshurstchurch@gmail.com for further information.

Examples of topics that the church can illustrate:

Local history

Revolution – via Civil War damage

Religion and the poor – via the dole table

Costume in the Middle Ages – via bronzes

The Victorians and religion – via changes made to the church
