Friends of Penshurst

The Friends of Penshurst Church is a separate charity formed by villagers and former villagers who are not church members, but want to help conserve and repair the fine listed building at the heart of the village.

 

The Friends encourage and help organise the building’s use for non-religious events – see details below.

If you have just moved to Penshurst or the  Chiddingstones please let our Benefice Administrator know at office@highwealdchurches.org.uk so that we can welcome you and give you information on the village and church and help you settle into your new community.

Attend Services

You are welcome to join any church service at any time – children are especially welcome! Do please make yourself known if you are visiting for the first time, so that we can welcome you. You can find details of church services on the diary page of this website or by joining our email circulation list.  To join, please email the Benefice Administrator on office@highwealdchurches.org.uk

 

Membership

You can become a member of the church by joining the parish’s electoral roll.  Please complete an Electoral Roll Application Form and return it to the Electoral Roll Officer by email to office@highwealdchurches.org.uk

 

We ask members to support the church’s work by making financial contributions according to means.  You can download a form to set up regular donations by Standing Order here:

Volunteering

You can help the running of the church by volunteering in many ways – for example, acting as tour guide, running the kitchen after services, arranging flowers, cleaning, reading at services or singing in the choir – or by joining the Parochial Church Council, responsible for an area like the church’s building or finances. Please register your interest through our administrator at office@highwealdchurches.org.uk
